In 1986, son Phillipe joined his father Jean Goulley and they created the Domaine Jean Goullley et fils, located in the heart of Chablis. The size of the vineyards is about 6 hectares. The domain owns some Petit Chablis, Chablis & Chablis Premier Cru. Bequeathed in part by Armand Tremblay to her daughter Simone, Jean's wife.
The domain also consists of a beautiful plot in the middle of the famous hill of Premier Cru Fourchaume. In the mid-1960s, Jean was given a large plot of 2.5 hectares, right on the hill of the Premier Cru Montmains. The family now also owns an important vineyard on the Premier Cru Mont de Milieu and some Chablis parcels in La Chapelle Vaupelteigne.
All their wines have gained quite a reputation. The wines are pure in style, have a beautiful minerality and are rock solid. Truly a pleasure to drink. Phillipe Goulley believes in young fresh wines, in which you can find the terroir and the environment. He has most of the work on maintaining the vines. Effortlessly and all year round, he works in the vineyards for a crushing grape quality.
