The story of the Benvenuti winery is a story of family, tradition and terroir. The vineyard is located in the quiet village of Kaldir in Istria, overlooking the nearby idyllic village of Motovun, where three grape varieties are grown: malvasia istriana, teran and muscat.
Nicola and Alberto Benvenuti are the new generation of winemakers. Passionate, modest and very talented. Family values and tradition are the common thread of Benvenuti wines. The grape variety in combination with the reflection of the terroir, located in several specific locations. The terraces on which the vineyards are located, the microclimate and the soil, composed of calcareous clay, give the grapes character that translates into very mineral, fresh wines, which fully express the characteristics of the grapes. These characteristics are reflected in all wines, from basic to mature malvasias, fresh and harmonious terans to intensive and pleasantly sweet wines. The wines have a high gastronomic content and are seen as the best wines from Croatia.
