Valtea is located in close proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, about 30 kilometers from both Vigo and Ourense, the two major cities in this part of Galicia where the DO Rías Baixas is located. This is the Atlantic, cool, humid and above all green part of Spain that produces perhaps the best white wines in the whole country. Knowing that the albariño grape is one of the most complex, perhaps the one that offers the best properties to produce high quality white wines.
The grapes are harvested by hand and each bunch is chosen at the optimum time of ripening. Once in the winery, once the grapes are selected according to their quality and the vineyards from which they come, they select the must into different qualities, separating the different types of must. Once approved, the fermentation process is intervened as little as possible. As a result of all this, Valtea albariño is born, a very personal wine that expresses all the power of the land in which it is rooted.
