Domaine Dominique Cornin is a small domain in the Mâcon and has been owned by father Dominique and son Romain Cornin for quite some time. Together they manage their 10 hectares of vineyards around the village of Chaintré at the southernmost point of the Mâconnais, where it connects to the Beaujolais.
The use of chemical pesticides was stopped in 1998. After being successful with an experiment, they switched completely to organic and biodynamic viticulture in 2003. According to their method, there should be a natural microbiological balance in the soil. Due to this method, their wines offer a very great diversity and their different terroirs are beautifully expressed.
Also during vinification, only natural yeasts that are naturally present on the grape are used, instead of the often used industrial ones. As a result, the different vineyards all get their own signature and have a very distinct character.
